For playing outside, the Laurentian region simply has no equal. The waltz of the seasons gives the region its rhythm and outdoors enthusiasts have an absolute embarrassment of riches when it comes to choosing what adventure to do next. In summer, watersports lead the field, with more than 9,000 lakes and rivers to choose from. In fall, a cycling tour or a long or short-distance hike might do the trick, transporting you at the same time into nature’s very heart, in all its fall glory. In winter, some exploring might be nice, this time on snowshoes or cross-country skis, giving us a chance to recall what it was like for the early pioneers as they made their way carefully through snowclad virgin forests. In spring, it’s time for all things to thaw and that also means some heady experiences for those who enjoy whitewater rafting expeditions, or perhaps the excitement of a day’s fishing. The Laurentians region is the outdoors destination « par excellence ».

Saint-Jérôme

Walking through the park is a wonderful way to spend your day. If you follow the historical panels they will guide you through all of the sights in the park.

Sainte-Marguerite-du-lac-Masson is a small town on the go.

Saint-André-d'Argenteuil

You will be charmed by this magnificent village located near the Ottawa River at the crossroads of Routes 344 and 327, with the Rivière du Nord running through it.

MRC de Thérèse-De Blainville

Founded in 1960, Lorraine is a modern, youthful town. Its residents enjoy its tranquility, the quality of life it offers and its proximity to major urban and tourist centers.

Chute-St-Philippe

This municipality offers a lifestyle in harmony with nature. The sports-minded can practice diverse recreational activities. There are lots of trails for cross-country skiers.

Oka

The park has 6 ski trails totaling more than 35 km, all patrolled and groomed, except for trail 5, accessible only for backcountry skiing.

Morin-Heights
Despite recent residential development, the village has retained its old-time character with its general store, shops, inns and excellent restaurants.
