Exhibition - Visage des rébellions

The temporary exhibition Visage des rebellions – Jean-Joseph Girouard, patriote portraitist, will be on display at the Globensky Mansion Museum Space from May 18 to November 12, 2023.

The exhibition aims to retrace the extraordinary work and journey of the Patriote-artist Jean-Joseph Girouard. This work, of exceptional historical importance, represents a vast national treasure. The exhibition, freely inspired by the work of historian Jonathan Lemire: Portraits de patriotes, 1837-1838: Œuvres de Jean-Joseph Girouard (VLB éditeur, 2012), highlights the archival, aesthetic and technical value of this extraordinary pictorial production.
