Ville de Saint-Eustache
The City of Saint-Eustache remains largely agricultural with a current population of about 45,000; it is an interesting mixture of town and country living. Several local sporting and cultural events have made names for themselves. In Vieux-Saint-Eustache, in the original 18th -C village and one of the sites of the 1837 Rebellion, there are numerous historic buildings, as well as various boutiques, restaurants and stores. This heritage district hosts a wide range of events including the Festival de la galette (local gourmet specialties) and the Festival Arts en Fête and is a lively area in all seasons. This town was awarded 4 Fleurons in the Fleurons du Québec program, aimed at beautifying our municipalities horticulturally.
