Only a few minutes from the big city, the countryside occupies a place of choice in the Lower Laurentians sector. In a single blow, the landscape becomes agricultural and the air more exciting. It is the agrotourism paradise. In the south-west, the Deux-Montagnes RCM, overhung by the hills at the foot of which rests the Deux-Montagnes lake, offers nautical activities, heritage buildings, bicycle paths, agrotourism, attractions for the family, interpretation centers and several parks, including the Oka National Park. The Old-Saint-Eustache, neighborhood filled with history that has marked the province of Québec, is full of heritage attractions and cultural activities. Do not miss the public markets of Old-Saint-Eustache and Oka. To the west, the Argenteuil RCM is dotted with ancient treasures and its architectural heritage is the bearer of a rich history. The Red River exalts the amateurs of activities in flowing water, while in the winter, cross-country ski trails charm the athletes. To the east, in the Thérèse-De Blainville RCM, the discovery of a new agricultural circuit highlighting the local gastronomy will satisfy your tastebuds. The culture scene reigns with festivals, theaters, music, some places are also dedicated to outdoor activities such as bicycle paths, the ecological reserve of the Garth Island and the Bouthillier Marsh in Rosemère. You can also come and discover the region on foot with "La Marche d'Alphonse", which consists in a journey of a hundred kilometers over 4 days! Ideal to prepare for Compostela or take time for yourself. Then, challenge the winter season with the many activities that the region offers you: skiing, snowshoeing, skating and hiking.
