Secteur MRC de Thérèse-De Blainville

The Regional Municipal Council (RMC) of Thérèse-De Blainville is located on the North Shore of Montréal. It is part of the Montréal Metropolitan Community (MMC) and is also the gateway to the Laurentian region. Its more than 160,000 inhabitants are spread over seven townships: Blainville, Boisbriand, Bois-des Filion, Lorraine, Rosemère, Sainte-Anne-des-Plaines and Sainte-Thérèse. The RMC offers all the advantages of being close to the attractions of the Montréal metropolitan region, as well as the additional advantages of a suburban zone. The territory is washed on one side by the Rivière des Milles Îles, traversed by three major highways and served by a suburban train and numerous bus lines. It offers a natural environment with protected zones, agri-food businesses, major shopping centers and intense cultural vitality.

Among other things, there are four golf courses, centers for downhill and cross-country skiing less than 40 kilometers away, three theaters, an equestrian center of international reputation, and the Route Verte cycle path giving access to Le P’tit train du Nord linear park, the Rivière-des-Milles-Îles park with its public access and numerous protected islands, heritage circuits and diverse cultural events and activities.

The Thérèse-De Blainville RMC has stood out over the years thanks to its dynamic efforts in the field of culture. As an example, Sainte-Thérèse has been proclaimed as a City of Arts and Culture and houses the Lionel-Groulx college and theater, both important actors in the development of its cultural life.
