It all began with a dream...For Anick and Marco, it all began in 1999. They were both working at Chez Girard. In April 2000, filled with ambition and loaded with dreams, they decided to take a leap and buy the Restaurant-Inn. Chez Girard, located in a century-old home, was established in 1955 by Joseph Girard, Head Chef at the Hotel Maurice. When the Hotel Maurice was demolished, Mr. Girard decided to open his own dining room. Word spread rapidly and very soon and for years to come, Chez Girard became known as one of the finest restaurants in the Laurentians. Chez Girard has been acclaimed for its fine regional cuisine. Less than two years after Anick and Marco bought the restaurant, the Sainte-Agathe Chamber of Commerce awarded them the Meritas Prize in the fine cuisine category. With a personalized approach both in the dining room and the kitchen, the owners do their utmost to make customers feel completely at home.
