Musée régional d'Argenteuil

Founded in 1938, the museum houses a collection of more than 10,000 artifacts, documents and rare books. Located in the old Carillon Barracks, a building dating from 1830, it is the ideal place to discover the fabulous history of Argenteuil and the Ottawa Valley.

Permenent exhibits: Les rouages d'une industrie d'Argenteuil, de la Dominion Cartridge à Orica (Machinery of an Argenteuil Industry, from Dominion Cartdge to Orica) and Argenteuil: mavie comme rivières (Argenteuil, My Life as a River). Also, visit the other exhibits including the costume room.

Summer season, Wednesday to Sunday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; September and October, Sunday, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.; Off-season, by appointment for group visits and consultation of archives. Free admission (suggested donation of $5 per person).
