Located in Mont-Laurier, the Microbrasserie du Lièvre gets its name from the mighty river that flows next to it. Established by the Sabourin Family in the beginning of the new Millenium, the original idea was to attract more tourists not only to the Motel le Riverain but in the whole region as well. It wasn’t long afterward that the brewery acquired legal rights, such as craft-and industrial licenses, and began producing their own quality products and supplying groceries and corner stores all across the Province of Quebec.
On January 18, 2013, the Microbrasserie du Lièvre gets ravaged by an intense fire, leaving behind nothing but ashes. From those ashes rose a new and improved brewery, which was then bought by the Filion family, a family of local entrepreneurs. It is with great pride and honor that the Filion family now offers you a wide range of more than twenty beers from our Classic and Seasonal selections. Furthermore, we are pleased to offer, from our local dining area, an adapted seasonally and gastronomically satisfying food menu.
