Le Petit Théâtre du Nord

For 25 years now, the Petit Théâtre du Nord has brilliantly fulfilled the mandate it has given itself to commission texts from Quebec authors and to promote the emergence of up-and-coming creators. A very ambitious challenge for four young professional actors from the Basses‐Laurentides region: Luc Bourgeois, Louise Cardinal, Sébastien Gauthier and Mélanie St‐Laurent at the time! Over time, more than 25 authors have collaborated with the company, giving rise to unique shows that have revisited summer theater with intelligence and humor.

Simon Boudreault, author

A versatile artist, Simon Boudreault has worked since leaving the Lionel-Groulx College Theater School as an author, director, actor, improviser and puppeteer. With his solo piece, Sauce brune in 2007, he received the audience award from the Conseil des Arts de Montréal. He received with As is (as is), the playwright prize awarded by the public of the Center du Théâtre d’Aujourd’hui. A long-time collaborator with the Petit Théâtre du Nord, he co-wrote Trappe à Rats for them and signed En cas derain non reimburse, which was a finalist for the Governor General's Award.

Summary: At Le Royaume du Super Fun amusement park, a very special new boss has taken over the controls. This one is not unanimous and the veteran employees of the place do not intend to be led so easily. Shenanigans, alliances and backstage games are in order in this colorful park!
