ANIMALIUM – equipped with a 500-m2 exhibition space – is a unique location for all those who are passionate about our fauna and the natural world, and an opportunity to make some marvelous discoveries. With the arrival of this new zoological museum, Groupe Selenia is providing a highly original activity in the Mont-Tremblant region for families and nature lovers, plus a new exhibition center with a cultural and educational vocation.
ANIMALIUM, fenêtre sur le monde animal, is a permanent exhibition presenting four distinct natural environments along with their main animal inhabitants. It describes the main characteristics of these biomes, how the animals survive and overcome the challenges they face in their natural milieu, as well as the threats affecting these environments and the means that will allow us to protect the biodiversity. In total, there are more than 250 stuffed specimens of vertebrates making up this exhibition, as well as insight into the world of the arthropods, butterflies, insects and other curious creatures. With a nod to sporting activities in the Mont-Tremblant region, the exhibition also presents the athletic exploits of champions in the animal world.
Open year-round, the museum will also host conferences, cultural workshops, presentations of various works, all with a direct link to nature and the animal world. A temporary exhibition space, the gallery ANIM’ART, will act as a place for cultural exchanges and sharing as it hosts the works of various artists of different nationalities.
