Microbrasserie du Lièvre, which backs onto the river of the same name in the municipality of Mont-Laurier, was founded by the Sabourin family at the dawn of the new millennium.
The idea behind the creation of the Microbrasserie was to add a tourist attraction to the Le Riverain motel complex. We then obtained artisanal and industrial permits to sell our beers on site, in grocery stores and convenience stores across the province.
On January 18, 2013, the Microbrasserie du Lièvre was ravaged by fire. It didn't take long to rebuild so that production could resume in the new premises, and it was at the end of 2019 that the Filion family acquired the business. Twenty beers from the Classique and Saisonnière ranges are proudly brewed here, and a gourmet, local menu, carefully crafted for each season, is offered.
