Gare patrimoniale de L’Annonciation

Gare patrimoniale de L’Annonciation

The local tourist bureau has been set up inside the station, as an exhibition center with a multidisciplinary function, and it is open year-round. It is possible to view a video recounting the history of the Antoine-Labelle RMC.  Outside you can admire a sculpted fountain wrought from the region’s pink granite by the artist Daniel Poulin. This work symbolizes the past in granite and the present in aluminum, with water creating a link between the two. An arrow pointing north indicates the future.

The station was built in 1903. A number of other buildings have been added over the years, including the manager’s house in 1905, the stock yard and the tool shed in 1911, and the coal and goods depot in 1924.
