Ashu-Takusseu : la traversée photographique exhibition
In continuity with his previous artistic explorations, Depatie creates a body of portraits of natives and questions the history of their representation and the role of the artist in the making of images in the era of digital multiplication. He revisits well-known portraits of Edward Curtis, an ethnological photographer of the late 19th century, to put them in dialogue with a series of Aboriginal self-portraits of our time.
Meeting with Michel Depatie on Saturday July 20 at 3 p.m.
